Cheap SSDs On The Way?
Posted on Thursday, September 13, 2012 by Unknown
Toshiba's strategy of cutting production of NAND flash by 30% to inflate prices of SSDs seems to have backfired. Due to this lowered production, Micron increased production, leading to increased market share for them, and less for Toshiba. So - Toshiba is ramping up production, while cutting prices up to 25%. This may lead to a flood of NAND flash in the market, ultimately lowering SSD prices.
