RUMOUR: Xbox 720

The Xbox 360 has been around since late 2005, and has been one of three major console gaming platforms, the others being the Playstation 3 and the Wii.  Although the Wii had been replaced by the Wii U in late 2012, both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 have largely remained the same.

However, this is likely to change this year, as both Sony and Microsoft have vowed to release the Xbox 720 and the Playstation 4 this year.  

The Xbox 720 is rumoured to only function when a Kinect (or a Xbox 720 equivalent) is plugged in.  Rumours also indicate that this will be sold with the base system, possibly increasing the price of the floor model.  

Similarly to multitasking capabilities of other devices, the new Xbox 720 may allow you to run several games and apps simultaneously, allowing the player to quickly switch between applications.
